A battery can look fine on the outside while quietly losing capacity on the inside, which is exactly what impedance testing is designed to catch. Cetronic carries out battery impedance testing across UPS battery strings, identifying weak or failing blocks before they let the whole string down during an actual power outage. Testing forms part of routine maintenance visits as well as standalone assessments, and results feed directly into recommendations on which batteries need replacing and when. Catching a failing block early is far cheaper, and far less disruptive, than discovering it during a real mains failure.
