Static Transfer Switches

A static transfer switch (STS) keeps your critical load running if a UPS output fails, switching seamlessly between two synchronised power supplies without any need to shut the system down. The switch monitors both supplies continuously and detects a failure within milliseconds, transferring the load to the alternate source automatically. Set it to switch back to the preferred supply once that source returns, either on a timer or manually. Cetronic's STS range includes single and three phase systems with 3 or 4 pole switching, covering power ratings from 16A to 800A. Every unit comes with a manual bypass mechanism and an LCD screen showing status, metering and alarm information. If your operation cannot afford a gap in power, a static transfer switch adds a layer of protection that a single UPS cannot provide on its own.
