Current and voltage harmonics cause real problems: overheating equipment, voltage disruption and critical systems that malfunction or fail outright. Whether distortion on the supply is affecting your load, or your load is putting harmonics back onto the electrical supply, Cetronic has a solution. For lower power applications, a constant voltage transformer or a UPS with power factor correction and low input current distortion often solves the problem. For larger installations, our Active Power Filters and Harmonic Conditioners automatically detect and remove unwanted current harmonics, available in single and three phase configurations. They deliver global reduction of the 3rd to 50th harmonic, can be set up to target individual harmonics, and handle compensation from 35A to 1920A per phase, with up to three times phase compensation in the neutral. Chassis, wall, 19 inch rack mounted and cabinet systems are all available. Left unaddressed, harmonics increase energy consumption and put expensive equipment at risk.
