Polylam® White Laminated PE Foam
Polylam® White Laminated PE FoamHighly effective at eliminating/minimising shock damage to your goods in transitUsing Polylam® White Laminated PE Foam, often also known as Stratocell or Ethafoam, is one of the best ways to disperse shock caused by impact.Constructed from non-cross-linked polyethylene foam, the structure of the closed cells ensures the highest standards of protection from multiple shocks and impacts, with the sheet returning to its original shape after the heaviest of impacts. Whether you are shipping heavy or light parcels, from fine art and IT equipment to high-tech tools and supercars, Polylam® can help you to ensure the best unboxing experience (your products arrive pristine) and reduce your cost of returns caused by transit damage. It has even been used as a temporary surface protection to cushion and protect surfaces from the pressure of outriggers on cranes, due to its ability to support great downforce!Compared with other commonly-used polyurethane foams, Polylam® is a great environmentally-friendly alternative. This is because the non-cross-linked cell structure is easily recycled back to a raw material, being 100% recyclable, and is CFC-free. It is inert, has no odour, and is not absorbent, so it excels in almost any environment, both damp and dry. Importantly, given the many uses found for Polylam®, it is also non-abrasive, so won’t scratch surfaces.Used in conjunction with corrugated carboard boxes or timber crates, the smallest and the largest goods can be shipped safely with Polylam®. You may wish to consider also using a lighter density and softer type of foam such as our 158W foam, if your products are especially lightweight or fragile, as these will further soak up impact shock including from very slight impacts. The closed cells also enable easy conversion into various shapes, and multiple layers can be laminated to produce a wide variety of thicknesses. We stock the most popular options, but please ask us if you have a requirement for a size or thickness you cannot see.If you want to know more about which foam from our extensive range is right for you, don't hesitate to hit the chat button or contact us and one of our specialists will be very pleased to guide you through what you need.
