Nitric Acid is an extremely important fluid for use in the production of fertilizer, high grade fuels, explosives and other industrial applications due its properties of oxidation and nitrogen content. Unfortunately, the acid is extremely toxic and in higher concentrations, a fuming acid. The handling of such a fluid requires a pump which does not leak and is chemically compatible.
