Cobalt Alloys

Cobalt alloys contain a higher melting point than Nickel alloys. This provides them with the ability to absorb stress to a higher absolute temperature. Cobalt alloys provide better hot corrosion resistance to gas turbine atmospheres; this is because of their high chromium content.
