The Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmosphere Regulations 2002 (DSEAR) require employers to control the risks to safety from fire and explosions including risks to members of the public. Areas must be classified into zones and appropriately signed where hazardous explosive atmospheres due to gases vapours or dusts may occures.
