As an essential part of our strategy to continually develop the skill base within our company, we are looking for a Mechanical Engineering Graduate to join our team in 2014.
The Opportunity
This opportunity will ideally suit a bright and enthusiastic engineer who has recently graduated or is due to graduate this year with a degree in Mechanical or Electro Mechanical Engineering.
From day one you will be working within a team with real responsibilities and you will be encouraged to develop your technical skills through various on-the-job learning experiences. You will be supported by a small but hugely experienced multi-disciplined team of engineers.
You will be expected to contribute ideas and become proactively involved in the development of new products from an early stage. Your main areas of responsibility will include:
Mechanical Concept Design
Mechanical Detail Design
Materials and Manufacturing Technique Selection
System Setup and Commissioning
Design Reviews and Customer Acceptance
Provision of Technical Guidance to the Automation and System Build Teams
Multi-skilled engineers are a real asset to our business and so an appreciation of Electrical Design, PLC Software Design along with HMI and Robot Programming skills will also be encouraged.

Your professional development is equally important to us and you will be fully supported in your chosen professional development and qualifications through IMechE or IET.
Our Requirements
You must hold or expect to gain a Minimum 2.2 honours in a Mechanical Engineering biased degree gained at a UK university. Graduates should have a strong knowledge of mechanical principles and be able to demonstrate a hands-on approach.
Over time this role will become customer facing, and therefore you will need to have excellent verbal and written communication skills. You will need to have good communication skills, be self-motivated and be able to demonstrate why you believe you are strongly suited to this role.
As there will be a requirement to visit customer sites, a full UK driving licence will be essential.
It is a prerequisite that all candidates have the right to live and work in the UK on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.
Salary
Competitive salary with 6 monthly reviews during the first 2 years plus paid overtime, profit related bonus scheme, pension scheme, life cover and 25 days holiday.
