Sack Tip Station to Open 25kg of Chemicals
Entecon has manufactured Sack Tip Stations, also known as rip-and-tip or manual bag-opening stations, for many different manufacturing applications. This project involved a station for opening 25kg sacks of chemical powders.
The equipment was supplied as an interim solution ahead of a larger capital project that would allow the customer to install one of Entecon's Automatic Sack Openers.
The manual Sack Tip Station is arranged so that opening the access door automatically starts the extraction system. This allows the operator to load and empty the chemical sacks without having to start the extraction separately, helping control dust at the point of opening.
Once the contents have been discharged, the empty sack can be placed directly into the waste-sack chute provided. The resulting installation gives the manufacturer a straightforward contained method of opening chemical sacks while providing a practical stepping stone towards future automation.
