Working at Heights with Solar PV is a CSS Worksafe training course developed to improve knowledge, competence and safer working practices.
Aims & Objectives: The Course is specifically designed for any person who works from heights whilst installing solar PV equipment. To satisfy the guidelines established by the MCS working at height training, including manual handling is a pre-requisite to obtain the MCS accreditation.
Suitability: Operatives/Engineers.
Requirements: Students should be physically fit.
Syllabus: Introduction Problems Associated with Safe Working at Heights Legislation Employers Responsibility Employees Responsibility Fall Arrest Equipment Introduction Safe use of Ladders Fixings & Anchorages Ladder Fall Protection System .
Maintenance & Checking of Equipment Donning a Safety Harness Safe Use of Associated Equipment Cleaning & Storage Practical Demonstration Self Rescue Procedure. Multiple Choice Test Review & Question Time Notes.
Certification: On satisfactory completion of the course a certificate of competence will be issued that will be valid for 3 years.
