Working at Heights Awareness
Working at Heights Awareness is a CSS Worksafe training course developed to improve knowledge, competence and safer working practices.
Aims & Objectives: The Course is specifically designed for any person who is involved with working at height.
Suitability: Managers/Supervisors.
Requirements: Students should be physically fit.
Syllabus: Introduction to Working at Height. Introduction to working at height and why it remains a leading cause of workplace injury. The problems and hazards associated with safe working at height. Legislation & Responsibilities.
Relevant legislation, including the Work at Height Regulations 2005. The employer's responsibilities for working at height. The employee's responsibilities for working at height. Assessing & Controlling the Risk. Risk.
Assessment: for work at height. Establishing safe systems of work. Fall Protection Systems. Passive safety systems and how they protect workers.
Assessment: & Review. Multiple choice test. Review and question time. Notes. Fully Comprehensive notes will be given to all delegates who attend the course.
Certification: On satisfactory completion of the course a certificate of competence will be issued that will be valid for 3 years.
