Working at Height Assessor Training

Working at Height Assessor Training is a CSS Worksafe training course developed to improve knowledge, competence and safer working practices.


Aims & Objectives: This course is specifically designed for managers, supervisors and those tasked by their company with assessing individuals working at height. It gives delegates the knowledge to identify hazards, evaluate control measures and assess whether work at height is being carried out safely and in line with the Work at Height Regulations 2005. Please note this is not a train-the-trainer course.


Suitability: Managers, supervisors and those tasked by their company with assessing individuals working at height.


Requirements: No prior experience is required. This is an assessor course, not a train-the-trainer course.


Syllabus: Legislation & Responsibilities. The Work at Height Regulations 2005. Assessing the Risk. Hazard identification and risk.


Assessment: The hierarchy of control measures.

Establishing safe systems of work.


Equipment. The selection and use of work at height equipment. Inspection and maintenance.


Requirements: .


Assessment: Multiple-choice question paper. Notes. Comprehensive notes will be given to all students who attend the course.


Certification: On satisfactory completion of the course a certificate of competence will be issued that will be valid for three years.
