Safe Access to Electrical Panels

Safe Access to Electrical Panels is a CSS Worksafe training course developed to improve knowledge, competence and safer working practices.


Aims & Objectives: The purpose of this course is to equip delegates with a complete understanding of Electrical Health & Safety in the workplace. Attendees will learn how to conduct themselves safely so as not to cause death or injury to themselves or their colleagues.

Syllabus: Reset Trips (Circuit Breakers - MCBs, RCDs), Reset Overloads (Motor Protective Circuit Breakers - MPCBs, Electricity at work regulations, breakdown of the memorandum of guidance on the electricity of work regulations 1989. Regulation 3 persons on whom duties are imposed by these regulations. Regulation 4 systems, work activities and protective equipment.


Regulation 11 means for protecting from excess current. Regulation 12 means for cutting off the supply and for isolation. Regulation 13 precautions for work on equipment made dead.

Regulation 16 persons to be competent to prevent danger or injury.
