Fire Extinguisher is a CSS Worksafe training course developed to improve knowledge, competence and safer working practices.

Aims & Objectives: To train members of staff in the recognition and use of portable fire extinguishers located at your site, in order that they might reduce the possibility of fire and extinguish a small fire should one occur.

Suitability: All personnel.

Requirements: Students should be physically fit.

Syllabus: Recognise the correct extinguisher to use on various fires. Actuate an extinguisher correctly. Deal with a small fire. The following topics would be covered within the session/s: The fire triangle.

Methods of extinguishing small fires. Identification of extinguishers. Use of extinguishers. Notes. Fully Comprehensive notes will be given to all delegates who attend the course.

Certification: On satisfactory completion of the course a certificate of competence will be issued that will be valid
