Several years ago, BGB began its journey towards circularity. With the appointment of a Business Graduate from the University of Nottingham, it quickly became evident that circularity wasn’t just another sustainability trend – it was a strategic necessity. Our research revealed strong market signals, prompting BGB to take decisive action and test the demand for a dedicated slip ring repair service.

Just over two years ago, we made a bold move by launching a specialist Repairs Service, separate from our core manufacturing operations. This involved forming a new team and setting up a dedicated manufacturing cell, located away from our headquarters to create a focused, agile working environment.

Thanks to the ongoing support of our customers, supply partners and employees, the service has achieved over 30% year-on-year growth – a trajectory we fully expect to continue into 2025. This success is no coincidence; it is the result of the skill, determination and belief of our team.

At BGB, we operate with a core belief: every slip ring is repairable. Our Repairs philosophy is based on what we call the Inertia Principle:

• Don’t repair what isn’t broken

• Don’t remanufacture what can be repaired

• Don’t recycle what can still be remanufactured

Even when a unit is considered beyond economical repair, we aim to salvage and reuse as many components as possible – only turning to recycling as a last resort.

This principle is always carefully balanced with our unwavering commitment to quality. Every repair we undertake meets the highest standards and is backed by warranties of up to two years, because our customers deserve confidence, not compromise.
