Global Engineering Workshop, known as GEW, builds flame laminating machines, and Apropa Machinery supplies them for laminating polyethylene foam to polyethylene foam, and foam to textiles.

Flame lamination melts the foam surface with a gas flame so it can bond to one or two other materials. It is quick, with speeds up to 60 metres a minute, and the standard machine width is 2 metres. GEW was founded in 2007 and also builds special machines for the textile industry.
