A YAG Laser is probably the most versatile of lasers used for the marking and engraving of components. It can work on most materials but due to its wavelength it's especially good on metals. YAG lasers can produce massive pulses of energy that vaporise material in an instant.
The only down side of a YAG is they will not mark certain materials like glass, leather and wood so a CO2 must be used for these. The YAG laser is controlled by two high-speed mirrors and can achieve incredibly fast marking times. Our YAG laser is complete with a rotary axis, which mean round parts are no problem.
