Blackman and White are a high tech international company manufacturing and distributing blade and laser cutting machines throughout the world. The role will be to provide in-house and onsite technical support to customers, for machines and operating software and to work with the installations team installing, commissioning and training on machines in the UK and worldwide.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES
Being the first point of contact for technical support both on the telephone, remotely and onsite.
Organise and provide regular maintenance and service on machines in the field.
Be on hand to manage or assist with machine commissioning from the point of installation through to the training on the machine.
Liaising with the production team regarding the specification to ensure that the machine specification is correct and in line with customer expectations.
Programming the machine according to client requirements.
Training customers on the use of the machine and software.
Providing comprehensive feedback to the production and installation teams.
Other software development as required.
Assisting to create a structured technical support department in line with targets.
Adhere to all health and safety requirements imposed by customers and in customers’ interests.
